Summary

I have 18 years’ experience in HR, I am level 7 CIPD qualified and my previous roles have ranged from standalone advisor to group HR leader in various fields. There’s not much in HR that I haven’t dealt with – I’m hard to shock! I’m passionate about people being the key to organisational success, and there’s nothing I love more than getting under the skin of organisations and working with you to solve your people dilemmas.

How I can help:

Compliance with legislation – I’ll get your employment contracts and policies fit for purpose and guide you through all you need to know as you recruit and onboard your new employees. I’ll provide solid advice and support to navigate through tricky employee relations scenarios such as disciplinary, grievance, appeal, TUPE, redundancy, mediation.

An HR Manager when you need one, no cost when you don’t – if you’re not in a position to employ in-house HR; or you need added support for projects, employee relations issues, recruitment processes etc.

Developing your management and leadership capabilities – the effectiveness of your leaders and managers is vital to your organisation. I can train them in all aspects of people management and be there to support and coach whenever it’s needed.

Attraction and Retention - A major reason for early turnover is a poor match of role and candidate, reviewing your job descriptions and recruitment tools is a good step; a UK survey 68% of individuals who quit their job in the first year cited bad management as a reason - a risk is that employees aren't properly on-boarded, supported, trained and developed in those early months. With job vacancies and skills shortages at all-time highs, attracting and retaining employees is a competitive pursuit which is won by 'employers of choice'. Your approaches to employee wellbeing, benefits, engagement and development; and your organisational culture and environment, all have a bearing... and Beanstalk can get you on the right track.

Taking a human centered approach – I can develop your engagement, wellbeing, mental health, and diversity strategies; and provide the softer HR skills, such as workplace mediation ( I am a qualified Workplace Mediator) to help you look after your people and in turn improve organisational success - no matter where you’re at in your journey as an employer.
