We realised back in 2015 that turnover was moderating around £9 million, given this, we needed to develop a strong Strategic Vision for the business. This was strengthened as the company at that time was going through a Management Buy Out. The board recognised that on both counts independent business support going forward was crucial in the execution of our ambitions.

Through a recommendation, we engaged the services of Jim Gibbons, of Strategic Growth Solutions. Jim was pivotal in supporting us through the anxieties of the MBO and his facilitation helped us gain the confidence needed at that time for a smooth commercial transaction.

Jim’s delivery was also extended to help us create a fresh organisational structure with strong leadership in addition to a revised sales process to support our growth forecast. The intervention was simple and uncomplicated and we now have a structure that supports the key drivers in the business and increased profit margins. An expanded sales team has been installed and turnover is expected to reach £35-40 million in this current financial year.

Our journey is on-going and Jim is still engaged with us to this day.

Whilst Jim is not sector specific and does not hold an IT background, given his broad business experience, he was able to bring to the surface the gaps in our own business process.

Whilst we were delivering to our clients the service that helped them grow, we were not applying the same culture internally.
