We asked Sarah to come and talk to our team about mastering our inner critic, with a focus on personal development and methods to better manage our internal dialogue, and the negative effect it can have on our work and personal lives.

Sarah started off by taking a brief from me and then created the most brilliant, bespoke workshop for our team – it went way beyond my hopes and expectations in what it delivered.

In most workshops, you normally take away a couple of little nuggets of information, or you’re so overwhelmed by information and advice that you can’t digest or implement any of it. Sarah has a way of breaking things down so that helps you to understand why you’re feeling how you feel, or acting how you act. Not only that, but she then delivers nugget after nugget of methods to try and books to read to help with each particular area.

We’re 1 week on from that session and our entire approach to time management and planning has changed and the effects are incredible. Each member of the team resonated with different things and took different learnings from the session, but all of us have come out of the other side only feeling more tuned in to ourselves and our thoughts, but armed to the teeth with effective and manageable ways to manage and positively deal with them.

The other point I have to make is that Sarah somehow manages to find a brilliant balance between knowledge & authority alongside compassion and warmth. That combination, along with Sarah’s wit and humour really relaxed the room and empowered people to contribute and feel safe in doing so.
