Womens Shield Ladies Mini Market is a project designed with a holistic approach to help women to be self-employed. The aim of the project is to facilitate learning and development of at least 15 women into self-employment through the provision and/or promotion of facilitated projects, sessions, discussions and In addition to supporting women to start business, Womens Shield will run a weekly Ladies Mini Market which will give our women entrepreneurs a platform to network with women entrepreneurs from different backgrounds and locations. These events will be weekly The monies raised from each meeting would go to Local charity who runs similar projects.
Womens Shield in Business’s mission is to provide all kind of support to women in Chapeltown and Harehills and surrounding areas .
We will teach a multitude of skills to empower the women to self-sufficiency, and self-employ.
It’s will be a jolly social occasion run by the local community, where you can shop and socialise and have a coffee and some hot/cold food and buy some of their weekly shopping items – and plenty of treats!

Lesadi and I decided to create a family friendly marketplace for mums (and the odd dad too) to sell their pre-loved items and new items to other parents and mums to be. A marketplace, unlike on-line buying, where you can see and feel the items first hand, before deciding to buy.
And whilst we love a good bargain and the opportunity to recycle something, we are also huge fans of unique, lovingly made or locally sourced products and brands. Something out of the ordinary, and something you won’t find en mass. That’s why we also invite small local businesses to showcase their products and services.
