Use advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition. • Using Corticosteroid injection as an adjunct to physiotherapy when indicated. • Using Acupuncture on regular basis for variety of musculoskeletal conditions. • Formulate and deliver a specialised and individualised physiotherapy treatment programme based on the sound knowledge of evidence based practice, clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of a wide range of treatment skills and options e.g. manual physiotherapy techniques, patient education, exercise classes and electrotherapy techniques. • Carry out diagnostic procedures and interpret results to provide advice on specialist musculoskeletal treatment and effectively communicate this complex information in an understandable form to patients. • Co-ordinate intervention, which may include other disciplines e.g. podiatry or surgical appliances. • Provide statistical data regarding the physiotherapy service as required. Actively involved in audit of the physiotherapy service. To sensitively deal with distressing or emotional circumstances when discussing a patient’s social history or personal confidential information. • Proactive in informing other health professionals of significant clinical information such as a deterioration or life threatening conditions or discovery of significant clinical factor.
