Summary
I am a chartered trade mark attorney with over 19 years experience of trade mark and design protection both in the UK and overseas. I advise on all aspects of design and trade mark protection from searching, filing and prosecution through to drafting and negotiating licences and assignments in the UK and across the globe.
I have advised and managed the trade mark portfolios of some of the leading brands in the United Kingdom and across the globe and has experience of working for clients across a broad range of sectors, such as leading retailers, food distributors and manufacturers, banks, insurers and fashion houses.
I have also had articles published in leading Trade Mark Law Journals, such as Managing Intellectual Property, Trademark World, ITMA Review and the Marques Newsletter. I have also commented on intellectual property matters for national newspapers such as The Sunday Times, The Times and Daily Mail, for leading regional newspapers such as The Yorkshire Post and also for trade journals such as Retail Week, Drapers and Admap.
Expertise
All aspects of intellectual property law, with particular expertise in trade mark (both registered and unregistered rights) and design law including the enforcement of intellectual property rights online.
In August 2010, I obtained a Trade Mark & Design Litigators Certificate giving me the right to conduct litigation in the Chancery Division of the High Court and the County Court (including the Patents County Court) in relation to trade mark, design and passing off cases.
