Summary

Brigit has pioneered work with global leadership and management teams in public, private and not-for-profit sector environments for over twenty years. An experienced speaker, facilitator and coach, she is also a Main Board Director for Oakridge and leads both the strategic growth of the organisation and the customer service aspects of our work. 

Brigit has been responsible for the delivery of leadership, change management and people development services to leading companies and organisations, both in the UK and globally. Brigit draws on her training and experience as Master Practioner in NLP as well as her high level corporate experience and leadership and coaching work with thousands of professionals, to provide effective programmes that help clients achieve desired growth and change. 

She has nine years’ Chairman experience including roles as Chair of the Institute of Directors Manchester, Chair of Common Purpose’s North West Advisory Group and Vice Chair of Business in the Arts. Brigit has also held a number of senior management roles with privately-owned and public, national and international, HR consultancies.

 Brigit has also been CBI Regional Council member and continues to be an active member of the Institute of Directors and was member of Inspiring Women’s Association.

Recent client experience includes the following:  Led a transformational change programme for a national social care organisation – which led to a significant increase in financial performance and contributing to the organisation winning the Specialist Care Community Award.  Brigit is also leading a Leadership programme for Academic Leaders at a leading University which aims to support increased self-awareness, action-orientated leaders who can lead and coach their teams to high performance, ensuring clear lines of accountability, performance at a higher level and to achieve positive outcomes   Brigit has also recently facilitated a number of leadership conferences and has led leadership development programmes for Manpower Inc, General Medical Council and the Civil Aviation Authority. Brigit also recently contributed to the UK’s Shared Services Forum on leadership and innovation and thriving through Change – running sessions on the ten leadership skills required in the Changing World of Work.  Brigit is a regular contributor to Pro Manchester’s and the Institute of Directors member forums speaking on female leadership, change management and leadership skills required for the future.

Brigit has also led the design, development and delivery of Oakridge’s Female leadership programme called Stride – this has now been running successfully for a number of years.  The programme is having a significant impact on the women participating and they are “paying it forward” by supporting colleagues and communities beyond the programme.  

2016 Winner of the Forward Ladies Inspiring Leader Aware and in 2015 was in the final short list for the same category. Also listed as a Women of influence in Business Insider.  2001 listed as Insider’s Top 100 Women in Yorkshire.  2000 Winner of the National Network Women of Achievement Award. 

Master Practitioner in NLP and accredited to use a variety of psychometric instruments including the Transformational Leadership Questionnaire and the BarOn Eq-I instrument. Master practitioner in NLP, Member of the CIPD, IOD, Pro Manchester, and CBI.  An accredited user of MBTI (Steps 1 and 2).
