When the music stopped and I looked around, I realized that no one else was dancing. No one else was there. The floor was a mess and I was stuck, lost, confused, disempowered and alone. Funny thing is that nothing had actually changed and I just started to realise the darkness that had always been there.
I’ve done plenty of work on myself over the years and as a Co Founder of a business and a modern family man with 3 kids, looking after my mental health has been paramount to me. So what was I still missing?!
Meeting Andrea really forced me to look at myself from a different perspective and rather than just using the busyness of life to mask the underlying issues, actually go deep, address them and reframe them WITH my adult mind. From the moment we met, I got a sense of comfort with Andrea in that she had my best interests at heart and was passionate about seeing me right. She could really relate to the challenges I was facing and brought no judgement but straight-talking guidance. I was really able to resonate with her story and journey through business, family and life too.
The methodology of RTT goes against many of the more commonplace talking therapies and Andrea really knew her stuff despite my million questions and “what ifs”, “buts” and “maybes”. And taking the time to talk any of these reservations through was met with welcomeness, love and understanding.
I opted for the therapy itself in person and time flew by whilst in a state of hypnosis! It felt like 20 minutes to me, but it went on for a good couple of hours. The whole time I felt that Andrea, proverbially, held my hand through every step and guided me to the outcome to really address the issues from my past there were really running my life. Most importantly, cleaning these and reframing them so they no longer had power over me.
There aren’t enough superlatives to describe life on the ‘other side’ of it all, but let me tell you that its been truly transformative from the moment I woke from my hypnosis! Honestly speaking, I was waiting for the buzz and hype to wear off…! More than a month later I’m ecstatic to stay that it hasn’t!! Fundamentally for me, I’m living life with an abundance of emotional energy that I had historically spent on so much other stuff in seeking validation, conditional love, performance, second guessing myself and just creating anxiety in the hamster wheel of my mind. The tangible outputs have been profound and really impacted all areas of my life; at 38 I’m in the best physical shape of my life, the relationship with my wife and kids is really positive and progressive, my business endeavors are going from strength to strength despite the macro-economic storm we are in and across everything, I’m attracting so much more positivity into my world. Genuinely, even the most cynical of people, have noticed a profound difference in me!
