Summary
As both a skilled IT professional and an administrator of over 10 years I have developed an exceptional ability to determine good information management (IM) practices. My ability to see how information can be better managed through well-structured IT allows me to quickly determine the best possible solution for a company’s IT. I have always been able to envision how a company’s information structure can be established based upon the work specification of individuals to achieve corporate aims. In effect a top down initiation followed by a bottom up building. This creates IT systems that are designed around the end users that still creates the information demanded at the directorate level. I have worked on projects for companies to develop IM systems, mainly using MS Access, as a means to help them achieve the aims of their corporate information strategy (CIS) and as a way of facilitating good information management. I have also led a small team responsible for the implementation of data collection, management, analysis and reporting.
In addition to developing my IT technical skills I have also developed my company website: www.hunt-it.co.uk that uses a combination of HTML, CSS and PHP and MySQL databases to deliver its content. I am currently building a new website www.hunt-websolutions.co.uk which when finished will allow for greater interaction by use of blogs, forums and dynamic content updating for registered users. Like the current site it will be PHP based but use a more sophisticated object orientated (OO) programming base. The result of this should be content that can be updated live online without the need to go into the underlying program structure. This will be achieved through better interaction with underlying MySQL databases. The motivation for this project was to create a website framework that would allow blogging and content management in a way more like a social media site.
I have a diverse range of I.T. skills and can repair, maintain and build desktop computers.
I am also established at programming using PHP to power HTML/CSS websites.Unlike some website designers I pride myself of following software engineering standards while developing websites and can create OO based websites.
In addition I have advanced skills as an administrator who uses MS Office packages to create bespoke business admin solutions.
