Summary
I have extensive experience in mental health starting with a TedX talk in 2017. Since 2019 I have worked as a counsellor (and mentor to other counsellors assessing their skills) for the NSPCC, a advisor with Grief Encounters with adults and children. I give well being workshops in schools through my own charity ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’ through which I also give wellbeing support to adults and children in collaboration with the office of social services.
I am a mentor working alongside a psychologist with parents (group sessions) and children in the UK and Latin America. I evaluate funding applications for mental health projects through the charity Rethink in London. I am also a children’s meditation teacher. I have supported adults and children through Cruse since 2020 and also helped with bereavement fairs and talks as well as training to the level of supervisor. I have also taught English as a teacher to Burmese refugees. I am also a children's meditation teacher.
I previously worked as a Communications Director with plenty of managerial and organisational experience to draw on.
I have also worked as an assistant social worker and co-therapist with a psychologist in the Bolivian Amazon. I conducted wellbeing projects through Latin America for which I was a finalist for the welsh government St David’s Awards. I also write and speak on different issues including mental health.
I have level 2 and 3 counselling qualification as well as a life coaching NLP qualification and peer skills though IMROK. I am also a speaker and writer with extensive communication skills.
