    We take clients through our Mustard Diagnostic to assess the potential value yet to be created in the business. We use the resulting traffic-lighted action report and our eight-step programme to realise that added value.

    Key to the success of the programme is the way we hold business owners accountable for the changes they want to make to their business, and I enjoy speaking to clients regularly to make sure they stay on track and follow up on their commitments, and provide help and additional support if they need it

    Challenge Wales helps young people aged between 12 and 25 to achieve their potential by helping them to develop life- and employability skills through sail training on one of our Ocean-going yachts.

    As Chair, I am having a lot of fun helping the Board of Trustees and the members of the team to put together a vision and an exciting strategic plan for the next five years.

    Helping organisations to ensure the long term stable and sustainable growth is my day job, and I am helping the charity to put together a succession plan to increase resilience and ensure the long term success of the charity.

    During my time at Eurobond Laminates, I held management roles in every department of the business, from customer service to logistics.
    Joining as Business Systems Manager, to establish a basic IT infrastructure and then implement the Epicor ERP system, I was then asked to move from department to department, identifying issues, improving processes, and making them more effective, and more customer focused.

    Allied Steel & Wire Ltd was formed from a merger between the steel-making interests of GKN, with parts of British Steel.  The company went from losing £1M per month to profit within the first 12 months of trading, and embarked on an ambitious programme of student and graduate recruitment to develop the general managers of the future.

    I was the first female engineer to work in the steel industry in South Wales, and joined as a student.  My training and career development was very broad, covering all aspects of the business, but mainly focused on project management, process improvement and systems development.

Interests and Hobbies

I'm a keen sailor, and race a 14ft sailing dinghy with my husband, travelling to events throughout the UK.

I'm also the chair of Challenge Wales, a charity which helps young people to achieve their potential by learning life- and employability skills whilst having fun on one of our Ocean-going yachts.

Away from sailing, I enjoy cycling and hill-walking, and visiting beautiful places in our campervan
