Gareth has over 20 years of experience within the imaging market and has held key positions within major blue-chip companies over this time. He began his formal imaging life with a B.Sc. in Photographic Science at what was then The Polytechnic of Central London. The first five years of his working career were at Fuji Photo Film starting as a mere boy of 21, happy in the role of Northern Technical Sales Representative.

Gareth went on to work for Ceta Ltd. in the West End of London as their Sales Manager for Dicomed digital cameras and the Imaginator retouching software and work stations. Whilst working with CETA and Dicomed he was instrumental in setting up the UK’s first demonstration facility at Du Pont’s UK headquarters in Stevenage showing digital workflow from digital camera capture through to the output of a digital Cromalin proof.

Gareth then moved onto worldwide manufacturer Kodak Ltd, working with Kodak’s professional digital equipment from cameras and scanners to dye sublimation and wide format ink jet printers. He was responsible for the launch of one of Kodak’s most successful professional digital cameras of the time, the DCS 520, in the North of the UK; in a brewery actually. He ended up managing the UK sales team for digital output and represented the UK on the European team which was responsible for professional output product development and strategy.

After 4 years at Kodak Gareth went to work for Lyson, the British ink manufacturer, as their Photographic Product Manager. He was responsible for building the Lyson brand within the photographic and fine art markets. Whilst there he set up and trained a dedicated dealer network and co-wrote Lyson Professional News, one of Lysons strongest marketing tools.

In 2006 Gareth joined Sun Chemical Ltd as the UK Sales and New Business Development Manager for Streamline Inks. Gareth looked after the recruitment and management of a network of dealers and undertook training sessions for dealers, the sales team and customers as well as providing sales and technical support to end users.

Following Sun Chemical Gareth thought he’d take a look outside the corporate world and hey presto Zebra Colour was born.
