Every family is unique, and each individual client will have circumstances that will require careful consideration of their individual needs, to ensure a successful outcome. This is central to my approach to Family Law and support of clients often at their most vulnerable.
Clients increasingly seek to resolve any disputes as quickly and amicably as possible, with a view to avoiding the unnecessary costs, and upset, of a protracted court dispute. I guide and support clients through resolving such cases by sympathetic solicitor led negotiation, including round table meetings, utilising mediation, or referring suitable clients to a collaborative practitioner.
But not all cases can settle without some involvement of the courts. My 20 year experience as a Family Law Practitioner and Advocate and one of only about 300 dual qualified Resolution Accredited Specialist and Children Panel Accredited Specialists in the country, provides me with the expertise to assist clients through the whole process of such cases, including representation at court if needed. Clients locally and nationally have found benefit in our ability to provide bespoke fixed fees for the work we do, which complements my seeking to resolve matters with the minimum of intervention.
I aim to be firm but fair, always offering support and empathy, clear guidance and advice, and mindful of the Resolution Code of Practice that promotes a non-confrontational approach to family problems, encouraging solutions that consider the needs of the whole family, and in particular the best interests of children.
I am a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Financial and Children Disputes dealing predominantly with privately funded Family Finance Cases following Divorce/Separation, Dissolution of Civil Partnerships, Complex Cases involving Pension and Business Assets, Round Table Resolution Negotiations/ Meetings, Cohabitation Disputes, Pre- and Post-Nuptial Agreements, Separation and Living Together Agreements.
I am also a Children Panel Accreditation Scheme Member - Child and Adult Representative, which includes representing Parents and Children in Public Law/Child Protection Cases, Advocacy at Court, Child Contact and Residence Disputes, Parental Responsibility Issues and Agreements, Declaration of Parentage, and Child Abduction Cases.
