End to end project management (from initial requirements stage to BAU (Business As Usual) of UK Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) software and infrastructure releases, Vodaphone administration system development, Rolls Royce Service Desk management system.

I was responsible as the Senior Transition Stage Manager for: client facing negotiation and requirements determination, project initiation & start up (PIDs) including resource, stakeholder, all Risk, Issue and Assumptions Management (ABCD methodology), requirements and quality management across all transition phases (initiation, planning, delivery, test and implementation).  I provided detailed project plans and schedules and reported to the Portfolio Manager, client and stakeholders project cost and schedule performance as required.  As the Project Manager was responsible for client capability and supplier engagement from the initial discussion of requirements, the production of the Transition Stage Delivery Plan, delivery and risk/issues management and mitigation to the implementation/go-live and project close-down. As a Senior Project Manager I was also an escalation point dealing with complex issues as they arose. I worked within a global IT organisation managing internal and external (supplier) resources and staff (internal and off/best shore).

Additionally, because of experience and seniority, I was consulted by the HP new business pursuit teams and client transformation service management teams for assistance in new bid proposals for existing services (releases) and new business provision (systems and applications). As a PMP I am able to provide Earned Value reports (eg. Cost Performance and Schedule Performance Indexes (CPI & SPI).

Service Transition and Testing - Test Environment Design & Production Project Manager Electronic Data Systems 03/2008 – 04/2010 (before acquisition by Hewlett Packard).

Provision of large scale integrated computer test and production environments for corporate & government clients.  In this role I managed the engagement of capabilities for delivery of environments such as procurement, hosting & desktop teams including architects and technical staff. I was responsible for the set-up, risk and quality management, procurement and installation of test and production environments of integrated services for local and national government institutions such as DWP, HMRC, Local benefit offices etc.  This involved close working relationship with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget. 

ESA Interface Manager – Electronic Data Systems, Europe Middle East Asia - 04/2007 - 03/2008Transition Management of legacy systems interfaces in the development of the DWP Employment & Support Allowance (Jobcentre Plus) system.

As the Interface manager I was responsible ensuring the interface issues and risks of the new benefit system with all other government services such as Pensions, HMRC, and Justice etc.  were properly managed.  ESA is the largest IT service in the UK government and this high visibility project was not able to miss its go live date.  This was therefore a very responsible role managing teams across all UK government departments to ensure testing of ESA was carried out thoroughly and that risks and issues were dealt with in a timely manner. It was primarily a risk, resource and stakeholder management/planning activity to support the Implementation Manager and ESA Programme team.
