Summary
I have spent 39 years in the RAF as an aircraft technician covering the airframe, propulsion, electrical and weapon trades and I have used that experience to be an international aerospace auditor with the 9100, 9110 and 9120 standards in 32 countries and about 350-400 companies. Therefore, I have a very wide knowledge and experience of the aerospace standards. As the aerospace standards are based on ISO 9001:2015 I also have the same experience with this standard as well. On a recent 12 hour trip back from Brazil, I realised it was time for me to use my experience to help other companies who would benefit. I have been a part time Quality Director for the last 4 years in an engineering company in the UK introducing AS9100 and also getting the company to be approved for nuclear work. I have also been involved in a small way over the last 10 years as a quality consultant getting several companies to AS9100 certification.

o 2018 – 2022 – As a part time Quality Director, took a struggling engineering Company with a weak ISO9001 to AS9100 within a year with only 4 non conformances raised at the initial audit and continued until the 1st re-certification audit which only had 2 non conformances.
o 2016 – Took a Norfolk waste water company to ISO9001 with associated internal audits and completed a gap analysis on 27001 & 14001.
o 2016 – Instigated AS9100 into a small engineering company in Hertfordshire which was achieved after a false start.
o 2013 – I advised (gap analysis) an engineering company in Nottinghamshire on the prospects of achieving AS9100.
o 2012 – I partially instigated AS9120 into a Company in Huntingdonshire which was put on hold when they realized the number of changes they would have to make.
o 2012 – Internal auditing/advise to a company based in Hertfordshire.
o 2011-12 – Took a design Company in Hertfordshire to AS9100
o 2010 - I took a Norfolk engineering company from no management quality system straight to AS9100 with only 4 NCRs at the initial audit.

Avid reader of crime novels
Have been a runner since 1981 completing 5 marathons, numerous half marathons and represented the RAF in Germany at cross country running.
