I am one of three Directors at GCA Training Solutions Ltd, a newly formed company specialising in Management Training, covering a range of Interventions targeted at enabling Managers to be even more successful in today's changing and challenging environment.

Prior to this I work with Royal Mail for 20 years delivering Training to Managers at all levels and Designed Programmes and bespoke Products.

I am a Learning Professional and have a passion and enthusiasm for helping Companies and Individuals realise their true potential though Training and Coaching.

I maintain this energy though understanding that we can all strive to learn something new every day, which helps me to progress personally and grow professionally.

    National Management Trainer
    1999 - 2011
    Responsible for the implementation of a range of Strategic and Developmental Learning Interventions. This included working closely at all levels of the national 18,000 management population, in partnership with senior management sponsors and a variety of reputable external training providers. Skills and Achievements Worked in partnership with Middlesex University and 'Mind Gym' to develop and deliver an accredited in-house Academy consisting of a 15 month Professional Development. Programme for Front Line managers. Supporting 2 groups of 20 people to achieve 100% passes in their first year assignments. Led and facilitated over 30 Performance Management, Change Management, and Personal Coaching events to audiences of between 25-80 Managers. This was a key enabler in delivering the Strategic Business Objectives of improved performance productivity and measureable results in our management population. Successfully collaborated with Senior Managers and Learning Business Partners to embed a Performance Management culture within a National Pipeline of Operational Units. Personally conducted 600 targeted Coaching sessions resulting in over 97% of Managers owning Personal Objective Plans and receiving annual Performance Reviews. Successfully delivered 13 Graduate / Management Induction Programmes to 150 new Managers. These Programmes consisted of subjects such as People & Leadership Skills, HR Policies and Procedures, Business Strategy and Commercial Awareness. This was an integral part of the organisations talent and succession planning.

    Front line Resourcing Manager
    2002 - 2005
    Working with the Area Management Team and Operational Managers to reconcile workforce demand and annual recruitment plans. Working closely with Managers to resolve all HR issues providing HR advice, support and consultancy services. Skills and Achievements Lead role for the recruitment of Frontline staff involving Interviewing and Selection as well as liaising with Operational Departments to ensure their timely entry into the business. Planned and deployed Christmas Recruitment Campaigns attended planning meetings and deployed advertisement campaigns to help achieve the area target of recruiting over 600 extra staff to support the operations over this crucial period. Established strong partnerships with Employment Agencies and Job Centres to ensure the ongoing annual demand plan was met. Organised Job fairs to ensure continued interest in new job vacancies as they arose. This enabled the Operational Managers to meet their business objectives and strategic targets.

Skills and Achievements Led a team of six trainers who delivered training and development, and liaised with our key business partners to meet the customer targets Managing course fill to reduce unnecessary expense to the business and consequently achieving the operational training budgets. The effectiveness of the interventions was consistently reviewed through customer feedback to enable continuous improvement and ensure the actual needs were being met. Constructed and implemented an area training plan to ensure the businesses legal and legislative responsibilities were fully met. As well as the annual training plan, large national initiatives such as Diversity Training for Managers and front line staff were also integrated into the delivery plan as the need arose.

Qualifications

Certificate in Personnel Practice Manager as coach ILM accreditation. Trained in Psychometric testing NVQ Level 3 in training and development NLP diploma Foundation certificate in person centred counselling Interview techniques City and guilds Activities and Societies: Seven GCSE passes including English and Maths
