In order to move forward successfully, we need to establish what stage your business is at: Start-Up, Growth or Recovery?

CLARIFY CURRENT POSITION
We illuminate the quality of your accounting systems by providing detailed and comprehensive reports on your company’s environment, spreadsheet reliance, formal planning, cash forecasting, cash availability, performance against defined targets, availability, quality and use of non-accounting information, and the level and quality of management’s understanding of accounting and reporting concepts.

IDENTIFY THE VISION
Once we’ve established where your company is at, we help you identify where you want it to go. We work closely with you to define what you want your business to become over a three and five year period. If the business is in a Recovery phase, this stage is still important as it provides a foundation for directed improvement strategies.

DEVELOP BUSINESS GROWTH/RECOVERY STRATEGIES
From the base of an agreed vision, we work with you to consider the ways you can achieve the growth or recovery needed. We then help you to see and understand the steps needed to achieve this, measuring and communicating the probable outcome and likelihood of success.

STRATEGIC PLANNING
It’s all about intelligent strategy. We produce a detailed financial model to investigate the effect on changes in the assumptions you have made so that you can fully understand the steps required. The plan will be flexible so that future changes in assumptions can be easily added.

SIMULATION AND SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS
Using simulation software, we use the financial model we’ve created to interrogate your business, identifying the probabilities of success and illuminating the main areas of risk. We also produce sensitivity analysis to show which inputs have the greatest effect on the desired outcome, and which need the closest management.

IDENTIFY FUNDING REQUIREMENTS
Using the simulation results from the previous step, we coach your business’ management team in being realistic about any further or future funding requirements, and start to put steps in place to achieve this.

PRODUCE FORECAST AND BUDGET
Using the results from the previous steps, we work with the management team to agree a final expected result, formalising that result as a three or five year forecast and a twelve month budget. We pay special attention to the most sensitive inputs of your business and use these areas to influence the design of Key Performance Indicator reporting, which measures and monitors progress.
