Summary
Astra Signs was formed by our Managing Director David Derbyshire, he went to sign-writing college and started work from his garage over 25 years ago. Between then and now he has built the company to its current level, Astra Signs is now a £4MILLION turnover business with 60 full time staff. It is testament to David and his business partner Mark Flanagan that they have driven the business forward with a reputation for high QUALITY and SERVICE.
All Astra’s signage is produced in house, the production facilities available include:
• 3200mm wide roll to roll Gandinnovations printer
• 3000mm wide flat bed Gandinnovations printer
• Mimaki 1600mm wide vinyl printer
• HP roll to roll printer 1500mm wide
• HP LATEX printer 1500mm wide
• Rolls Roller laminating machine
• CNC routing machine
• 2500mm wide folding machine
• Spray booth
• Full welding capabilities
• Neon bending shop
• Mechanical engineering assembly and manufacturing department

All our production and fitting staff have undergone intensive training for both signage production/installation purposes, and all up to date health and safety training. We have specialist fitters who are trained for working at height and with access machinery. Astra employs a full time health and safety officer who oversees and implements all training and health and safety requirements of the Astra staff.
