Online TV seems to be growing fast and many players have already joined the market. Joost was set up by the Skype founders and Hulu has been launched in the US by News corp and NBC. In my view the one importanta dvanteg to success here will be content ownership. Hulu has this advantage as the owners own content rights already, unlike Joost. BBC iplayer also has this advantage and has performed well. I expect ITV and Channels 4's joint venture should have the same effect but then again they are only going to be playing old clips, so whether this will have a good an impact I am not so sure?
