What type of print buyer are you?

What type of print buyer are you?

THE “CONVENIENCE” BUYER

You have very little time, and let’s face it, you only need a pack of business cards, a leaflet to allow customers to take away, or some signage.

Perhaps you pop into a printers locally they know you, they know what you want, have a friend of a friend, or place an online order, your time is better used on your core activities, and if you pay a little bit more, it was convenient and quick.

THE “PICK n MIX” BUYER

You know that you wouldn’t buy your branded umbrella at the same place you buy a letterhead as  there are specialists for each type. You do your research, speak to many printers, get a number of quotes for each product, and then work with each printer to co-ordinate the products you need so you have them all for your open day/product launch/campaign.  You get lots of technical questions, have to get in the car to take samples of one to another, but you got a good deal by shopping around.

It’s a shame it took so much of your time that you didn’t meet with that possible new customer.

THE “CONTRACT” BUYER

You consider that the amount of money spent on printed products is significant enough that if you use the annual volume to negotiate an annual price for your goods, rather than each individual order, you’ll get economy of scale. The printer knows what you want up-front and it makes the whole thing much easier.

When you get a need that you didn’t put on the contract, you’re going to get a good price from the same printer as they do a good job on the contract work so why not?

THE “SMART” BUYER

If you recognise yourself in these buyers, perhaps a fully managed solution is right for you.

At The Production Agency we provide you with convenience, as we’re a single point of contact that gets to know you and takes the effort out of the product specification. We pick and mix as we are product specialists, and know the right suppliers for the right product, but as this is our job, we do this efficiently and without impact on your time, to match colours and co-ordinate deliveries.

Our rate card process enables us to provide you with fixed pricing for repeat jobs, but we ensure every single product is placed at the best price with the best supplier so no-one gets to earn more than a fair profit for each job.

We are confident in our process and our supply chain – so much so that we guarantee that we will save 10% on your previous pricing be it a convenience, pick & mix or contract price. Give us a call on 07960 041563 for a no-obligation discussion about how we could work together.
