You know what I mean!!!!
All business exposure is good exposure... right!
A friend was telling me about the agency he uses, who wanted them to do a radio advertising camapaign .. "my god" is said... dont do that, its like throwing money away, your service isn't relevant to a radio campaign either... they should know that (he manufactures dansgerous goods packaging) "but the station tells them I will get exposure to 1.3 million listeners...in a week'..." not when they flip channels you won't, radio is not relevant to your sector Geoff..." I protested, "if we wern't friends I could really help you" I said.
Let me explain to you about the right kind of marketing. An opportunity that came my way recently. "I was contacted by a golf club who wanted me to become a partner in their digital advertising. I would get a hole on the course branded after my company, a 40 second advert on their TV in the clubhouse, links to my website, and digital ads on the cart - the scoreboard - and aps on clients phones, also I lock out any other creative agency in the golf club... al for £12.50 a week, not the thousands your talking about "
"why is that good for your business" he enquired. "Well, I am branding and marketing services, yes... and when you are on a golf course... you have a lot of thinking time, so when you have 600,000 people teeing off at my branded hole alone, they may think of the current agaency they use, and they may also think they are not very happy with them for one reason or another, and they may also think... i'll call T2 and se what they can offer my business"... "it's all about THE RIGHT EXPOSURE Geoff... do you see?
Thats all good and well Neil... but with a radio advert, you get 1.3 million listeners a week!!!!!!
I suppose what I am really saying is know the value of your spend ... and not the cost
