Dignity is concerned with how people feel, think and behave in relation to the worth or value of themselves and others. To treat someone with dignity is to treat them as being of worth, in a way that is respectful of them as valued individuals.
BENEFITS TO THE DELEGATE AND THE ORGANISATION
Delegates will learn to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to provide first class customer care and dignity issues.
PROGRAMME
• To understand the need to be effective both clinically and in applying the principles of dignity in care.
• To develop an understanding of how behaviour breeds behaviour and why our approach is key.
• To develop strategies to cope with difficult people and situations.
• To gain an insight into the options available to communicate with others effectively.
• To view complaints as opportunities and develop an ability to deal with these proactively.
• To identify actions delegates can personally take to foster dignity and customer care.
