Event SummarySolicitors Practice Rule 13 stipulates that at least one of the partners of a firm, must be a 'solicitor qualified to supervise'.
Additionally, every branch office of a firm must have someone who normally works there who also is a 'solicitor qualified to supervise'. To be so qualified, a solicitor must, amongst other requirements, have received 12 hours' management training. This course comprises 5 hours CPD in management which, when added to the hours included in Stage 1, will enable a solicitor to meet the requirements of a 'solicitor qualified to supervise'.
The course is therefore likely to be of particular value to solicitors about to establish their own practice or who are about to take charge of a branch office. This course deals with Strategic Management and Marketing, and complements the information contained in Stage 1.
