Event SummaryIs a new 'super breed' of IT professional with comprehensive business, leadership, and communication skills required to deliver the information needs of 21st Century organisations? How can employers assess IT staff to nationally agreed skills standards and ensure they have a professional attitude by being fully accountable for their recommendations?
The British Computer Society (BCS) is holding an interactive workshop on Thursday 22nd May at the iconic Urbis building in Manchester to discuss how to build the foundations of professionalism within organisations using the high-level Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) and more detailed SFIAplus standards.
The event is aimed at employers in both the public and private sectors to discuss how skills, training and development standards for IT professionals (i.e. SFIA/SFIAplus) provide the building blocks of IT Professionalism within organisations. The workshop will feature presentations from the Cabinet Office, professional development consultants and security advisors. Two case studies from both the private and public sector will also feature.
